WANT a chance to eat at Australia's only rainforest dining experience? Weekend is giving one lucky couple the chance to dine at Flames of the Forest in Port Douglas.

The six-course experience is part of the prize of the Romantic Getaway competition, which is now open.

The restaurant's general manager Natalie Johnson said the dinners were set up for couples.

"It's not what people are expecting, we like to take people out of their comfort zone," she said.

The menu includes fare unique to Australia like kangaroo, crocodile and Aussie lamb.

The menu also offers a 100% local dessert, and a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

"To give you an idea of what a special place it is, we've had a record of four marriage proposals in the one night," Natalie said.

So no pressure, but if the winners are not already hitched maybe the dining experience is the time to propose.

The Romantic Getaway prize, worth up to a maximum of $3888, also includes airfares from some locations, four nights' accommodation at the QT Port Douglas, welcome cocktails, daily breakfast for two adults, two spa treatments at spaQ, a catamaran cruise and return airport transfers from Cairns.
