Woman's body found during search for missing Sarah Cafferkey

POLICE investigating the disappearance of Bacchus Marsh resident Sarah Cafferkey have discovered the body of a woman in a Point Cook house.

Detectives made the discovery early on Sunday while executing a warrant at a house in Fongeo Drive.

Police are yet to identify the remains, with investigations ongoing.

Ms Cafferkey, 22, was last seen by her family on November 9.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation last week.
