Woman found banging head on cars in traffic fined $400

A WOMAN who wandered in and out of traffic at Alexandra Headland, yelling and banging her head on cars, has been fined $400 for causing a public nuisance.

The Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard that Kerrin Anne Cooke had been drinking before she managed to stop one of the cars near the Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club on October 4 and attempted to get in.

Magistrate Annette Hennessy fined Cooke $400.

Ms Hennessy said Cooke had committed a "substantial public nuisance offence".
