FOOTBALL: Wins are needed now for the Warwick Wolves teams which play St Alban's at Middle Ridge Park on Sunday in Toowoomba football fixtures.

While the Warwick colts team has some wins including a Friday night forfeit this week, the reserves and premier teams are so far without wins.

On Sunday, the reserves play at 1pm and premier at 3pm.

Coach Jon Pearson said the return of Shannon Cameron to the club was a boost.

"He is going well in goal and his chatter from the back is good,” Pearson said.

Damien Young has played a lot of football for Warwick in goal but according to Pearson preferred to be up field.

"Damien did a great job in goal after not traditionally being a goalie but is playing in defence for the reserves,” Pearson said.

While Rob Davey is captain, Pearson said the leadership roles were shared by senior players including the Davey brothers, Rob and Cameron, and Shayne Watson.

Junior starts

THERE are few better sights in Warwick sport than to drive past Queens Park on a Saturday when Warwick junior football is in full swing.

Junior fixtures start this Saturday for 2017.
