MARE of the world Winx has pulled off the remarkable after missing the start by four lengths to record her 18th consecutive win at Randwick.

Winx was in trouble for a long way in the run and didn't look a winning chance until the final 50m to take out the $250,000 Bob Ingham Warwick Stakes (1400m) in front of a huge crowd.

The greatest horse on turf left everyone at Randwick gobsmacked after she missed the jump by four lengths before coming from last to grab stablemate Foxplay on the line to keep her amazing winning streak intact.

Winx claimed back-to-back wins of the Group 2 Warwick Stakes in the process with her victory streak now standing at 18.

A big crowd turned up to Randwick to see Winx's return and she remains on track to equal Kingston Town's record of three Cox Plates this spring.

Winx, who won the Warwick Stakes by 3½ lengths last August, is $1.50 with TAB to equal Kingston Town's record of three Cox Plates in October.

In a surprise in late betting, Winx drifted out to what could have been considered value at $1.10.

The victory was her 22th career success and continues an unbeaten streak that has remarkably stretched more than two years.
