Winners are grinners in Esk

THE annual Esk Campdraft 2011 was held on the Labour Day long weekend with about 800 nominations.

The Trevor Kerr Memorial Local Encouragement winner was Brian Conroy on his gelding ‘Flash'.

Judge Peter Little continued on to judge the Dan O'Brien Memorial Maiden Draft which was taken out by Andrew Stallman on ‘Rabbit' with an impressive score of 91.

 

Sunday morning began with the Club Hotel Esk Novice Draft with Dale Roberts taking out first place on ‘Silkstone Tinkerbell'. With a score of 80, eight-year-old Mac Shepherd showed great skill on ‘Shania' and took out the blue ribbon. The magnificent Gold Cup for the Basil Drynan Memorial Open Draft was presented to Craig Shepherd on ‘Sterling' with a well deserved first placing.
