Welcome to Brisbane, home of the strongest sharks around

BRISBANE is home to some of the 'strongest sharks in the world', some of the worst wi-fi on the planet and a sky needle which has no point (pun intended).

That's the verdict delivered in a video welcoming G20 delegates to Brisbane.

Comedy group Collective Noun posted the parody video "G20 Introduction to Brisbane" overnight highlighting some of the quirkiest facts (and non facts) about the city.

A young man opens by saying, "You might be looking out your hotel window wondering, 'Is this it?' Yes," he says.

"But before you judge our town, we'd like to let you know that we're actually the number one choice for retirement of women 66-67 years of age with family in the area.

"Impressed? I thought so."

The video then goes on to point out the unpopular yellow City Cycle bikes located around the city as the best form of transport.

"Although they are four years old, they've been kept in such great condition. Look at this one, it looks like it's never even been used before!",'' one presenter quips.

The jokes continue.

"There's always the Clem 7, named after how many cars have used it.''

We then cross to the Brisbane River where the presenter exclaims: "We have some of the strongest sharks in the world.

"You know if they can survive in this river they have some pretty crazy mutations.''

We also check out the Sky Needle, donated by hairdresser Stefan, after World Expo 88. While having a point, many wonder 'what's the point', according to the video.

The video also highlight's Brisbane's excellent wi-fi service, before breaking up.
