Vandals attack Lowood

LOWOOD police are on the hunt for vandals who targeted multiple businesses around the township of Lowood overnight.

Police have confirmed two graffiti offenses occurred; one at the Main St Medical Centre and the other at the Lowood newsagency.

The graffiti consisted of a smiley face and a tag of a derogatory comment, on both buildings.

The suspected persons of interest are thought to be mid to late teens.

CCTV has been provided by the Somerset regional council on Main St, which police are in the process of reviewing in order to apprehend the offenders.

In a separate incident, a vehicle has been set on fire on Main St in Lowood overnight.

Lowood police confirmed the incident, where a blue Holden cruze which was burnt-out  from the inside, happened between 3.50 and 4.10am.

The fire was put out by local QFES before the car was completely engulfed.

Detectives are investigating the occurrence.
