A TORNADO has been captured touching down south-west of Toowoomba during wild storms that swept through the region last night.

Higgins Storm Chasing's Grant Rolph was south of Millmerran about 5pm yesterday when he videotaped the unconfirmed tornado to his west.

"The suspect 'cloud' was on the ground just over two minutes," he said.

There have been no reports of damage.

Mr Rolph posted the photo on Higgins Storm Chasing's Facebook page asking likers their "thoughts".

Most agreed it was a tornado.
