Two men arrested after man shot in Ashmore

UPDATE: Two men have been charged after yesterday morning's shooting of a man in Ashmore.

Police arrested a 21-year-old Bundall man around 2.20pm and at about 8pm a 22-year-old Ashmore man handed himself in at Southport Station.

The weapon believed to have been used in the offence has also been seized.

Both men have been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and robbery.

Both men are scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday January 9.

EARLIER: A man has self-presented to Gold Coast hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The man had a facial injury and was driven to hospital around 4am. 

Police say the incident occurred in a private residence and believe it was not random,
