WEST Coast needs plenty to go its way this weekend to reach the finals, but the Eagles have been given a leg-up before the round has even started.

Adelaide bookends Taylor Walker and Daniel Talia were withdrawn from the Crows' side to travel to Perth for Sunday's clash at Subiaco Oval, giving the WA side greater hope of triggering an upset victory.

Walker (pictured) will miss with a toe injury, while Talia has failed to overcome an ankle complaint.

Inexperienced duo Jono Beech and Riley O'Brien replace the pair in the Crows 25-man squad.

Walker is Adelaide's leading goalkicker this season with 49, while Talia has been pivotal in curbing opposition key forwards.

Despite the withdrawals, the ladder-leading Crows remain favourites to win and end any hope of West Coast reaching September.

The Eagles are considered $5 outsiders to jump above Melbourne or Essendon and sneak into the top eight.
