Two crashes, one weekend
EMERGENCY services were kept busy on the weekend as they rushed to the scenes of two separate car incidents.
At 3.30pm on Saturday a notorious intersection on the Warrego Highway was again the scene of an accident as a Holden Commodore travelling east collided with a 4WD turning from the westbound lanes into the Windmill Markets on Crowley Vale Road.
The heavy collision at the intersection saw the 4WD, and its attached trailer, roll over from the impact with it coming to rest on the corner of the road.
Luckily, occupants from both vehicles escaped any serious injury.
Police issued a traffic infringement notice in relation to the incident.
Gatton Police Senior Constable Tom Missingham said the intersection had been the location of fatal accidents in the past and urged drivers to take care when turning.
Later that day, at 6.30pm, emergency services were called out to a single vehicle accident on Woodlands Road in Gatton.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a white BMW had crashed into the side of a shed in a paddock just before Edwards Rd.
Police said the female occupant of the vehicle had only minor injuries but was taken to the Gatton hospital for observation.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
