Damrow family has two winning apprentices

CHAMPION apprentice Shaun Damrow will be cheering on his brother this weekend.

The 24-year-old mechanic Shaun, in his third year Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE, was recently crowned winner in the Snap-on Tools Apprentice of the Year competition.

This weekend, brother Callan, an apprentice at Lockyer Valley Regional Council is a finalist in the Lockyer Valley Business Awards Apprentice of the Year.

Father Gary Damrow, from Gatton, said he was very proud of both his sons.

Shaun is employed by Toowoomba BMW, his reputation has customers requesting him specifically to work on their cars.

"Being considered among Australia's formidable apprentices is something I will cherish for a lifetime," Shaun said.
