TV reporter's live cross 'cat-astrophe'

Live television is the gift that always keeps giving.

Fox 13 reports Scott Madaus was sent to do a live cross from where a large cat, maybe a cougar or a panther, was spotted in Hernando, Mississippi.

However, he got a lot less than he bargained for.

Seconds into his live cross, he turned to point to the trees where the animal was spotted, only to find a regular moggy sitting there watching him curiously.

"That's not it, that looks like a house cat," he observed, before ploughing ahead and telling viewers he'll be "right back with a live report".

"I bet he's been terrorising the neighbourhood for years," one Twitter user wrote.

"Someone needs to stop him," agreed another.
