Truck rollover closes lane on Warrego Hwy

UPDATE: Multiple emergency services personnel are working to free a man who became trapped inside the cab of a small truck after it rolled on the Warrego Hwy near Gatton.

Laidley police Sergeant Michelle McTaggart said the single vehicle accident occurred at 12.24pm when the truck, which was travelling west, veered off the road and rolled.

One westbound lane on the highway remains closed.

About 20 metres of guard rail were destroyed by the crash.

Sgt McTaggart said the cause of the accident was unknown.

EARLIER: Emergency services are rushing to the scene of a truck crash on the Warrego Hwy, near Gatton.

Early reports say the truck has rolled over.

The driver is trapped inside the truck.

He's thought to be conscious and breathing.

The truck was travelling westbound at the time of the crash.

It's unclear if the Warrego Hwy is blocked.

The crash occurred close to the McDonald's at about 12.30.

There was significant damage to the vehicle.
