
Police confirm death of man in morning crash
UPDATE: Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash in Branyan early this morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate some time after 12.30am a silver Honda sedan was travelling along Branyan Drive, Branyan when the driver has lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
Sadly, a 25-year-old Red Hill man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died as a result of the crash.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
It is the second fatal crash in the Bundaberg region in a week.
A 32-year-old North Bundaberg man died in a crash at Woodgate last Sunday.
EARLIER: Emergency crews tended to a serious crash in Bundaberg this morning.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, paramedics responded to Branyan Drive at 3.55am after a vehicle left the road way and collided with a tree.
The tree then fell on the vehicle.
One patient was assessed for critical injuries at the scene.
