Town the star of the show

ESK Show brought visitors from around the Somerset region and beyond to the town as they celebrated the best stock, produce and creativity of the residents.

Pig races, woodchopping and a pet parade were just a few of the enticements for show-goers, but it was clear this show had something for everyone.

Visiting the Esk for the first time in 15 years was former Esk resident Octavia Vaughan.

"It's a bit like stepping back in time," she said.

"It's been nice to come back to a country show where there isn't stacks of people and long lines for the rides for the little ones.

"I have enjoyed bringing my own children back to see the show."
