Timani set for Samoa showdown

SITALEKI Timani will add another milestone to his breakthrough season for the NSW Waratahs after being named in the Wallabies squad to face Samoa this weekend.

Meanwhile NSW and Australian Rugby’s most-capped prop Al Baxter is in the frame for a return to the Test line-up, called into training today to cover for fellow Waratahs front rower Benn Robinson, who has torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

If Baxter does return, he will do so alongside Waratahs lock Daniel Vickerman who has been named in the Wallabies team for the first time since 2008.

After spending the last three years studying at Cambridge University, Vickerman made his Super Rugby comeback in round 18, slotting straight back into the Test squad.

Waratahs' Sekope Kepu is also returning to the test arena, the prop claiming the No.1 jersey for the opening Test of the international season.
