Three inside as fire rips through North Queensland home

Bev Lacey

A FIRE broke out in a Townsville home overnight.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said a home at Riverway Dr in Kelso was badly damaged by fire.

She said emergency crews received reports of a blaze about 8pm.

"We confirmed the structure was full involved," she said.

All occupants in the house were evacuated.

Queensland Police Service and Queensland Ambulance Service personnel also attended the scene.

The fire was fully extinguished by 10.20pm.

A spokesman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said three occupants of the house were medically assessed by paramedics but did not require transport to hospital.
