Death of matador shown on live TV


THE death of a matador in the ring has been shown live on Spanish television.

The footage shows 29-year-old professional bullfighter Victor Barrio being thrown into the air before being repeatedly gored in the chest.

It is the first death of a matador in the ring in 31 years.

Also in Spain on Saturday, a man participating in a village bull run near Valencia was killed when a bull's horn pierced his lung and heart as he reportedly tried to help another runner.

Two other men were gored at the Pamplona Running of the Bulls festival and a further 12 runners received minor injuries.
