BACHELORETTE Sophie Monk and winner Stu Laundy are considering IVF as a possible way to overcome the vasectomy Laundy underwent several years ago.
Monk announced the Sydney billionaire publican as her winner and Jarrod Woodgate as runner-up tonight, overcoming her concerns Laundy may not be able to give her a child.
"(The vasectomy) doesn't really matter because it can be reversed pretty quickly or regardless I could go freeze my eggs and chuck em over to wherever he's got his sperm banked," said Monk, 37, with her characteristic candour.
Laundy also confirmed he had "planned ahead" when undergoing his vasectomy a decade ago.
"We have two options but we haven't really discussed them yet," said the billionaire publican.
"We should probably go out and have a meal first."
With the glamour of tropical islands and frequent helicopter rides now behind them, both Laundy and Monk said they were looking forward to spending "normal" time together without having to hide-out.
In the two months since the finale was filmed, the couple have only seen each other twice, when they were taken to remote country properties for a few days at each visit.
"We've only seen each other a couple of times, that's it. And that's hard for two adults, it feels like you're in high school," said Monk.
"We were taken in separate cars to random butt-f*** places, to be honest. We'd hang out for two or three days but you can't leave the house, so it's a bit stir crazy."
However, while Monk and Laundy have been enjoying the first throws, Woodgate has been getting over the first throes of serious heartbreak.
"I'll always be there for Soph," said Woodgate, who was dubbed a "stage-five clinger" by fans, He admitted the breakup was still "very raw" and said that if Sophie ever changed her mind and asked him to take her back he "probably would".
As for whether Monk and Laundy will be tying the knot anytime soon, plans are on hold until Laundy finalises his divorce from current wife, Rachel Laundy.
"I am trying to finalise a divorce for my and my ex wife's happiness and we're very, very close. So we're trying to finalise it so we can move on and co-parent our children. I'm sure we'll end up close friends," he said.
But Monk is in no hurry. "I'm glad he didn't propose. That would have freaked me out!"
"You've got to remember you haven't slept with anyone at that point, so to propose ... that's why when I watched Blake (Garvey propose to Sam Frost) I was like, 'how can you do that without having sex?".
