Teen stabbed in neck and head

DETECTIVES are hunting for a 17-year-old man after a teen was stabbed in the neck and head.

The stabbing took place at about 3pm yesterday at a unit block in Katharina Street, Noosa Heads.

A 17-year-old male received stab wounds to his neck and head and was in a serious but stable condition in Noosa Hospital.

Sunshine Coast CIB officer in charge, Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards, said the unlawful wounding investigation was ongoing, with a number of witnesses interviewed.

He said detectives were still hoping to locate a 17-year-old man to interview over the incident, and police believe the victim attended the address and was stabbed during an altercation.


Det Snr Sgt Daren Edwards confirmed the 17-year-old man stabbed in the neck and head during an altercation at Noosa Heads yesterday remains in a stable condition, but has transferred from Noosa Hospital to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
