Teen injured after dirt bike crashes into barbed wire fence

A DIRT bike rider was flown to hospital after crashing into a barbed wire fence north west of Toowoomba.

The 19-year-old was riding on a private property on the Kingsthorpe Haden Rd when he lost control on a turn and slammed straight into the fence.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed on the property about 4pm.

CareFlight's critical care doctor and flight intensive care paramedic treated the teenager for a suspected pelvic injury and cuts.

He was airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
