AT JUST 18 years of age, Kayla Wittleton is a budding jewellery entrepreneur and has begun selling her wares on Facebook.
“I have been making jewellery for about six months,” Ms Wittleton said.
“I started just making it for myself and when I would wear it out, people would be asking me about it,” she said.
So when she started making her jewellery – which features beads, religious symbols, keys, skulls and hearts – for others, she decided to spin her craft into her first business.
“I am trying to get it into shops, and am selling it on Facebook,” she said.
“People can like the page and order it and I will post it or drop it off to them.”
Ms Wittleton said she had been surprised by the response.
“I have had about five orders from Brisbane so far,” she said.
Ms Wittleton said she also hoped to showcase her jewellery at Gold Coast designer markets.
