Teen creates Nazi Holocaust in Lego for history project

A BRITISH teenager has pain-stakingly created a Lego timeline of Nazi Holocaust for a school project.

The 16-year-old schoolboy published a suite of images from the project, which covers Adolf Hitler's rise to power in 1933 through to his eventual defeat and death in 1945.

The scenes were created by a teenager with the username "fithboy" on news-sharing website Reddit.

When asked if he thought using Lego could risk trivialising the horror of the Holocaust and World War Two, he said:

"Although that may be the case, it certainly draws attention to it," he said.

"When on the wall, a big bright timeline will draw far more interest than a greyscale poster with lots of writing."

The pieces used are from legitimate Lego sets, with the only custom work done for Hitler's moustache.

The teenager said the teacher loved the project, and his mother was happy to see something recognisable in his Lego artwork, even if it was a swastika.

His other work includes recreating iconic film scenes, most recently from the Star Wars films.
