Tackle Show to expand
WITH news the 2010 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo will be expanding to accommodate more exhibitors.
More fishing and camping enthusiasts are expected to make tracks to Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds on March 19- 21 for the sixth annual collocated event.
Since 2005 the two events have been held alongside each other to create a one stop haven for fishing and four wheel drive enthusiasts, with hundreds of exhibitors and educational sessions showcasing the latest products, services and techniques for the angler and camping fanatic.
Jason Plant from Marine Queensland, organisers of the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, said this year’s event is expected to be bigger than last year’s bumper show.
“The Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo together make the largest show of its kind in Queensland,” Plant said.
“The event caters for all levels of boaties with the latest tinnies, alloy plate boats, recreational fishing gear and outdoors products on display.
“Since first collocating with the National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo six years ago, the event has gone from strength to strength and last year 31, 644 people attended the show.
“This year will see the return of some of the successful aspects of the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show including the Bream Fishing Tournament and the Kids Fishing Clinic which will both be improved to cater for larger audiences.”
National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo Event Manager, Mark Petersen said the off-road component of the event will also have a number of improvements including the Off-Road Action Arena, featuring new attractions.
“We’ve been working hard to find some new attractions for the Off-Road Arena and will be making an announcement in the New Year about an all new 4x4 Show which will be making its debut at the Brisbane event,” Mr Petersen said.
“A number of the exhibitors who have signed up for the event have already indicated that they will be offering some massive discounts at the show.”
Individuals will receive entry into both the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo for the cost of one ticket with adults $12 and children under 15 free.
