Sweet design at chocolate factory
MEXICAN architect Michel Rojkind was asked to design new spaces for the Nestle chocolate factory outside Paseo Tollocan.
The resulting Zaha Hadid-ish building was conceptualized and built in just two and a half months and is constructed entirely on cement pillars that raise it off the ground.
While it doesn’t exactly scream ‘chocolate’, the new structure has become a tourist draw, housing a visitor’s center, a gift shop, and a theater.
