Suspicious package forces Chronicle evacuation

THE CHRONICLE offices were evacuated this morning after a suspicious package was delivered to the newsroom.

Police were called to the office in Neil St about 7.45am after the package was discovered.

Staff were evacuated as Queensland Fire and Rescue Service and Queensland Police Service crews cleared the scene.

The package contained e-cigarettes.

The office was reopened at 8.15am.
