Stunning home with glamping tent sells for $1.2M
A THREE-bedroom home with a glamping tent for guest accommodation is the first residential property on acreage at Agnes Water to fetch more than $1 million in about a decade.
PRDNationwide sales consultant Gordon Christian said it was no surprise The Cove Retreat on Round Hill, at 84 Josefski Rd, recently sold for $1.2 million.

The property has 364 square metres of living space, is set on a seven-acre block, and has two separate guest accommodation options - a self-contained one-bedroom caretakers' residence and a glamping tent.
It is the first Agnes Water home to sell for more than $1 million since mid-2018 and Mr Christian said it was the region's first property on acreage to fetch seven figures in about 10 years.

He said the home was viewed several times, including by a "powerhouse" couple from the mining industry looking to spend big and a representative for a potential international buyer.
Mr Christian said there had been a recent trend of cashed-up couples aged over 50 looking to the beachside township to relocate for lifestyle reasons.
"I'd say about 20 per cent of our market is coming from people who are looking to retire, and they're coming here with plenty to spend," he said.

"And then about 30 per cent are people who work in the mining, oil and gas sector, who base their families here and drive in and out for work."
Mr Christian said the region also attracted buyers from northern New South Wales and southeast Queensland, where property prices were on the rise.

"While we still have a relatively affordable market, and there are some excellent opportunities for buyers," he said.
Another sale in the high-end market was 21 Jeffery Ct, sold for $710,000 in January.
He said there were other properties of the same calibre as 84 Josefski Rd that he expects will sell between $1.2 to $1.7 million.
