HERE it is, folks - the first official look at Sophie Monk as The Bachelorette.

The Aussie celeb will soon make her much-publicised return to reality television, some 17 years after she found fame as a contestant on the first season of Popstars.

Ten's first teaser promo for the series shows Monk, glammed up in red and clutching red balloons, walking past loved-up couples (even a couple of randy pooches) as she laments her single status.

The promo is set to the tune of Queen's iconic Somebody To Love (we would've opted for Monk's own Inside Outside, but what do we know).

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph this week, Monk said she was seeking a man unlike her previous trail of famous boyfriends.

"Living in LA for ten years, I've dated high profile people like actors and rock stars," she said, "but that's not at all what I've been looking for."

"I'm so lucky to do what I do, don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful. But the one thing I think you do sacrifice is a really healthy, good relationship."

Monk said she hoped to make it through her first season of the Bachelorette with her dignity intact.

"I hope I don't look like a goose," she said.
