Small tribute to Howard

LOCKYER Valley Art Group paid a special tribute to Howard Whitehouse, who has been a valued part of the art group since the beginning of 2004.

He was a perfect gentleman, and was loved by all the group and we have shared many years of painting together.

He has been quite a successful artist, and has exhibited many times with the group and has sold a good number of his paintings over the years.

He painted many subjects, but he truly understood the sea, and loved to paint it.

Howard had served the Royal Australian Navy Airarm in both Korea and Japan, on HMS Melbourne and HMS Sydney and others, and holds a number of medals due to his service for his country.

Howard was duly honoured at his funeral service.

The group farewelled a good friend.

Lockyer Valley Art Group is glad to be back at work again after a delayed start to the year.

This Art Group have a good determination to make this year a good one, and already each person is involved and inspired to move ahead and stretch their ability to the best level possible.

More enthusiastic people will be joining the group this week.

The group meets at the residence of the Group Leader, Ula Binggeli every Tuesday.
