Shots fired into house in the middle of the night

POLICE are investigating an incident early this morning at Mermaid Waters where a number of shots were fired at a residence.

Initial information suggests just before 1am, a nearby resident contacted police after hearing what they believed to be two shots fired.

Police attended a residence in Peninsula Court and found damage to a front window and guttering consistent with gun shots.

The house was unoccupied at the time.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident or who may have any other information which could assist in their investigations to contact Crime Stoppers.
