Other key changes included promotions for Senator Sam Dastyari and Dr Jim Chalmers.

Senator Dastyari is now responsible for school education and youth and will be the parliamentary secretary to the leader of the opposition and deputy manager of opposition business in the senate.

Dr Chalmers  adds superannuation and financial Services, trade and investment, productivity and   sport to his workload.

"It is a team of dedicated, talented Labor people that will drive Labor's policy development and outline Labor's positive plans for all Australians," Mr Shorten said.
