Sheen's co-stars unsure about show

CHARLIE Sheen's 'Two and a Half Men' castmates didn't want to continue the show without him.

The troubled actor was sensationally fired from the show and replaced by Ashton Kutcher after a public spat with show creator Chuck Lorre but Charlie's co-star Jon Cryer - who plays his brother Alan Harper in the show - says he didn't take it personally when Charlie lashed out calling him a "troll" and he and the rest of the cast were initially unsure if there was a future for the sitcom without its star.

He told chat show host David Letterman: "Yes [he called me a troll], as friends do. I love him, he's a great friend. All of us, none of us wanted to continue with the show if we felt like it was hurting him, and there was a point at which, we felt like, there's no control over him.

"No no no. We didn't see where it was going. This has never happened before. It wasn't like back in 1963, everyone remembers when Fred MacMurray went bats**t and started talking about free mason ninjas and stuff. It was crazy! And Vivian Vance started urinating on the set of Here's Lucy. So nobody was prepared for this."

Although Jon is looking forward to working with Ashton he admitted the pair only met briefly to see if they could "deal with each other".

He explained: "We had a very quick meeting to see if we could deal with each other, and we could. They threw everything together very quickly and they had to fly us to New York so they could parade us in front of advertisers. And they put us in the CBS corporate jet, which was very snazzy."
