
Shark at Bondi Beach forces swimmers out of the water
HUNDREDS of swimmers have been ordered out of the water at Sydney's Bondi Beach after a shark was detected near the shore.
New South Wales Police confirmed a shark was spotted from a PolAir helicopter that was in the area about 10:45am.
It was suspected to be a bull shark.
Police alerted lifeguards and a shark alarm was sounded.
Lifeguards also used jet skis to investigate and alert swimmers to the danger.
