Severe penalties for rock throwers after truck hit

POLICE are warning people caught throwing rocks at trucks and cars will face severe penalties.

A truck driving down James St in Toowoomba is the latest to be struck by rocks believed to be thrown by children early this morning.

The projectile hit the driver's side of the windscreen as it travelled past the PCYC on James St, according to a report on social media.

Toowoomba police have warned of the dangers throwing rocks at vehicles and those responsible could face severe penalties if caught.

Police urged victims to report the incident as soon as possible.
