Serious traffic crash at Coominya

UPDATE:

The two occupants of the vehicle who were receiving medical treatment at the scene were airlifted to Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

The advice of the QPS is that the two remaining occupants who were transported to Ipswich Hospital were treated for minor injuries.

EARLIER:

Police are at the scene of a serious single vehicle traffic crash at Coominya.

Just after 4pm, a car travelling on Coominya Connection Road hit a pole, causing powerlines to fall.

Four people were initially trapped in the vehicle, but two have since been extracted and are being transported to Ipswich Hospital.

The remaining two are currently receiving medical treatment at the scene - at least one of which is in a serious condition.

They are expected to be airlifted to a Brisbane hospital yet to be determined.
