Serious single vehicle crash at Bentley Park

POLICE are investigating a serious, single vehicle traffic crash which occurred in Bentley Park early this morning.

Initial information suggests around 4am, a station wagon carrying two people were travelling along Robert Road when it lost control on a bend and collided with a tree.

The 24-year-old female driver of the vehicle was transported to the Cairns Base Hospital in a serious condition.

A 20-year-old female passenger was also injured in the crash

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
