Security guard knocked unconscious at nightclub

A SECURITY guard was knocked unconscious during a disturbance at a Morayfield licenced premises early Sunday morning.

Police said the attack happened after 1am when a verbal argument between groups of patrons became physical.

A security guard was attempting to break it up when he was assaulted.

A second security guard then attempted to intervene and he was also assaulted and knocked to the floor unconscious.

Both security guards, aged 21 and 60, were taken to the Caboolture Hospital for treatment.

Investigations are continuing with detectives appealing for anyone who may have information that could assist them to call Crime Stoppers.
