Security guard attacked at Kawana Shoppingworld

A SECURITY guard has been knocked unconscious at Kawana Shoppingworld as he walked down a hallway on Monday afternoon.

A 22-year-old Caloundra man has been charged with both grievous bodily harm and assault.

The 41-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment for his facial injuries.

Police believe at 2.30pm, the security guard was walking down a hallway when he was attacked, falling to the ground unconcious.

As he fled, the 22-year-old is believed to have pushed a woman to the ground.

The Caloundra man is due to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 27.
