SO FAR they are yet to select a candidate for the Coast, but the Australian Sex Party knows how to pick a venue.

The group held its party launch at Kunda Park strip club Secret Door Playroom last night.

Although not operating in its usual capacity – owner Geoff Dear lent out the premises for the night – the bar was certainly open.

Sex Party Queensland coordinator Rory Killen was apparently unable to answer his phone yesterday.

Mr Dear said the Playroom was simply an obvious place to hold the launch party.

“It is open to everybody who would like to turn up,” he said.

Some of the emerging party's policies include:

Introducing an R and X-rating for computer games

Develop a national sex education curriculum

Viagra, Cialis and drugs used to treat sexual dysfunction, on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
