FIERY scenes are set to erupt on The Block in the coming weeks, with Scott Cam once again going head-to-head with the show's most controversial couple - this time, over bills.

Jason and Sarah have been clashing with the renovation show's host for weeks, but it appears the final straw was their refusal to pay their tradies, leaving a bill of $8000.

It's just the latest in a string of troubles for the couple, who this season have received the lowest score in history for their master suite room reveal (three zeros), butted heads with building foreman Keith Schleiger, and have been ostracised by other contestants for dobbing in Elyse and Josh over a "non-compliant kitchen".

But it's the tradies' unpaid bill that has pushed Cam over the edge, according to TV Week .

"I've got a problem. Number one, we pay our bills on The Block. We have to - it's our reputation," an angry Cam will tell Jason and Sarah in a yet-to-be-aired episode.

"This guy has a family. He's owed 8000 bucks and you've told him you're not paying any of it."

The Gold Logie-winning presenter elaborated to the magazine, telling them he was over the contestants' bad attitudes and laziness.

"Jason and Sarah have quite a few weaknesses in this competition. They've struggled all the way through with money and timings. I've done 13 of these [seasons of The Block] - laziness gets under my skin."

In the upcoming episode, Sarah reportedly becomes heated as she explains why she and Jason didn't want to shell out cash to the tradies.

"None of the work was done properly and he wants to charge me $8000. I don't think so," she reportedly said.
