
SARCIS execute search warrants at Minden and Tarampa
Members of the State Crime Command’s Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad (SARCIS) executed numerous search warrants as part of their investigations into the management of donations and activities of a horse welfare charity.
On Tuesday, June 14, police executed search warrants at addresses in Beaudesert, Inala and Greenbank and four horse sanctuaries located at Tarampa, Minden, Buccan and Caligraba as part of their investigation into allegations of the misuse of donations received from members of the public. Donations have been received by the charity from across Australia and internationally.
Operation North Sun was commenced by members of the Forest Hill SARCIS last year.
Investigators have been working with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission based in Melbourne and have established an investigation centre.
