Rural and regional roads to get a budget boost

RURAL and regional roads are expected to get a strong boost in today's Queensland Budget.

But Treasurer Tim Nicholls was yesterday being coy about exactly what sweeteners he would deliver ahead of an impending election.

"There'll be quite a lot in the budget for regional Queensland," he said.

"(Today) will provide all the details of the payments that will be made, the investments that will be made and how we'll be delivering for rural and regional Queensland."
