Woman in terrifying robbery ordeal at knifepoint

A FEMALE employee of the Goodna RSL had a knife held to her throat when two armed robbers stormed the building last night.

The two men, wearing balaclavas, entered the premises at 5.20pm and demanded money.

The pair then fled the building and made their escape in a stolen, champagne coloured, Honda Accord that was being driven by an accomplice.

The trio then ditched the vehicle in a nearby street and the car was subsequently located by police.

The three were then reportedly seen getting into another vehicle and one eyewitness said four men were seen driving it away.

It was not known last night whether the thieves made off with any cash.

No-one was injured in the raid.

Initial reports said one of the thieves was wearing white trousers. Two items of clothing were found near the scene that matched up with what eyewitnesses said the thieves were wearing.

Police found a grey fleecy zip up hoodie and a grey windcheater with white cuffs.

Police were last night searching for the men.
