LIBERAL National Party minister Ros Bates was released from hospital on Tuesday afternoon, nine days after suffering a serious back injury.

The injury has forced the Minister for Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts to miss the final sitting of Queensland Parliament this week.

Ms Bates has been facing questions over her contact with lobbyists.

Premier Campbell Newman has repeatedly defended his minister, telling Parliament on Tuesday he believed she had done nothing wrong.
