THINGS just keep getting better for Rockhampton's X Factor contestant, Zach Russell.

Last night his band, The Collective, survived another week on the singing talent show.

Northern Territory 14-year-old Shiane Hawke, who wowed audiences across the country at her audition, was eliminated.

The Collective, under the mentorship of star UK musician Ronan Keating, are now one of only four acts left in the competition.

And it appears Zach has found love from the show.

Southern media have reported Zach is dating eliminated contestant Keeda.

Keeda, real name Katrina Risteska, was part of girl band Black Ivory, which was put together by the judges.

While Zach's band has gone on to big things, Black Ivory was eliminated at an early stage.

"We met on the show," Zach told New Idea.

"We just made it official because it was too hard to stay away."

The reports are he is not worried about any screaming fans distracting him from his relationship.

"I think we will be fine," he said. "I am completely head over heels for her."
