STRIPPING down to next to nothing is not the kind of behaviour you'd expect from a council employee but qualified civil and municipal engineer Graeme Preston was willing to get his gear off for a good cause.

Mr Preston is Mr December in the Kawana Boyz Nude Calendar for 2012.

The sale of the calendar has, so far, raised more than $4000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Mr Preston managed to sell at least 50 calendars up in Dalby, a country town about 200 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, where he was also doing council work.

"The sales were interesting in Dalby.

"A lot of people bought them saying they were getting them for their parents," Mr Preston said.

Mr Preston said he was "right behind" the calendar as "it is a great cause.

"It is something that can happen to any one".

But even though he has become known as "Mr December" he is not planning a modelling career.

"It was definitely a one-off, people don't want to see me again."

He is pictured with a strategically placed ice-bucket and bottle of Moet.
