Renegades ready for final shot at Big Bash finals

THE Melbourne Renegades have named an unchanged line-up for the first time this season as they bid to topple the Adelaide Strikers and secure a place in the Big Bash League finals.

The Renegades are in fifth place on six points, two behind the Melbourne Stars and Sydney Sixers who are both on eight points and still have a game to play. The Stars play the Perth Scorchers on Wednesday night and the Sixers host the Sydney Thunder on Thursday night.

The Renegades have a negative run-rate so will need a big win to have a chance of playing in the semis. They certainly have plenty of firepower with players like Englishman Ben Stokes (pictured), Callum Ferguson, Matthew Wade and Alex Doolan all capable of making runs quickly.

The Strikers are in top spot with 11 points - one ahead of the Scorchers - and can lock up the home-ground advantage throughout the finals with a win.
