Regional clubs urged to protect fields during wet weather

DUE to the forecast of rain this week, Sport Ipswich asks clubs to be mindful of using sporting fields in wet weather.

Training and playing on wet fields can result in significant damage to grass fields that can take weeks or months to fully repair.

To ensure your fields are in the best possible condition for your season, inspect fields prior to usage.

Funding available

ROUND 93 of the Gambling Community Fund (previously Jupiters Funding) opens mid-April.

These grants are available to clubs for a vast range of programs and equipment.

Funding is available from $500 through to $35,000.

Park run

THE Ipswich area is fortunate to have three great Park Run locations running each Saturday morning.

Park Run is a 5km run or walk that is free to participate in. It's a timed event so that you can track yourself as you improve. Why not check out one of the great locations this weekend.

Park Run Ipswich is on Saturdays (7am) at Limestone Park.

Park Run Augustine Heights is on Saturdays (7am) at Renahan Place, Stockland.

Park Run White Rock is a trail run on Saturdays (7am) at School Rd, White Rock.
